Kids on Bikes Festival

Registration is still available the day of the event at the park for no additional charge.

The Kids on Bikes Festival is the premier family bike event in Colorado Springs, and this year we’ve been selected as one of the events to help jumpstart the USA Pro Cycling Challenge.  There will tons of fun activities going on throughout the day in addition to the ride and kids parade.  All proceeds from the event support Kids on Bikes in bring joy one bike at a time!

Schedule of events – 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM:

• 11:00  Kids on Bikes Festival Opens
• 11:00-4:00  Kids Zone with bounce houses, carnival games, and other kids’ focused activities
• 11:00-4:00  Kids Games and Activities with the YMCA and Ariel’s Gymnastics
• 11:00-4:00 Decorate Bike Wheels Clinic with ROLL Bike Art
• 11:00-4:00  Live DJ and Food Vendors
• 11:00-1:00  Kids Bike Safety Rodeo with the Academy Optimist Club- learn bike safety and handling skills, receive bike safety checks, and a FREE helmet from Memorial Think First for children currently without helmets
• 11:00-1:30  Bike Decorating Station- there will be fabulous prizes for the best decorated bike and you’ll be able to show it off during the parade
• 12:00  BMX Demo with pro flatland rider James Mcgraw
• 12:30  Awards Assembly for the Cheyenne Canon Time Trial
• 12:45  Kid and Adult “Crazy” Bike Races with UpaDowna
• 1:00  Kids Fun Bike Parade
• 1:30  Family Fun Bike Ride- 4, 10, or 15 mile options on the Greenway Trail
• 3:30  Prizes and Awards
• 4:00  Event Ends- head to the Peoples Pedal Party downtown for more fun!

Kids On Bikes Parade and Family Ride Event Details:

• Come early to take in the festivities and decorate your bike!  Festival opens at 11am!
• 1:00 PM Bike Parade (anyone is welcome and encouraged to participate – show off your bike’s great decorations and receive prizes for the best decorated bike)
• 1:30 PM Family Fun Ride – all ages welcome!
  • 4 mile, 10 mile and 15 mile courses on Pikes Peak Greenway Trail
  • Price: $15 an individual and $50 for an entire family
  • Great Aid Stations
  • Children’s and Adult’s cycling jerseys available to support KOB
  • Show your children the joy of a group ride!

Registration fee is $15 per person or $50 per family

Make checks payable to Kids on Bikes.  All participants will receive a free Kids on Bikes water bottle and goodie bag.

Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
