Our Story
Kids on Bikes, Inc. (KOB) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing brand new bikes and safety equipment to under-served children in the Colorado Springs area. Recall your first bike and the freedom and confidence that it gave you. Our mission is that these bikes will provide that opportunity and be a motivating force for very deserving children.
- Provided over 300 bikes to fifth grade students at Sand Creek and Ivywild Elementary
- Inspire children to reach their goals and grow in confidence
- Engage the community in giving presentations to students on safety, nutrition, physical activity, and bicycle transportation
- Partnered closely with other regional children’s advocacy organizations, including CASA, TESSA, and Hope & Home to bring bikes to those in need
As Kids on Bikes continues to grow and develop, our goal is to continue to instill confidence, provide opportunities for healthy alternatives, and create means for success among our least advantaged children. Putting these girls and boys on bikes- allowing them to experience life “in the driver’s seat”- is our mission. Kids on Bikes will work to enable as many children as our resources allow and continue to meet a tremendous need in our community.
Kids on Bikes is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving the Pikes Peak Region. All contributions are tax-deductible and help bring the joy of owning a bike to very deserving children.
