Leadership Luncheon- Paige and I

Paige Carmichael, Founder, and Lindsey Arkfeld, Executive Director, at the Pikes Peak Volunteer Day Luncheon.

Did you know…More than 32% of people in Colorado volunteer on regular basis each year, serving their communities and saving organizations millions of dollars. In fact, Colorado ranks 17th in the nation for percentage of the population that volunteers on a regular basis, and each volunteer averages about 50 hours per year. That means more than one million Colorado citizens are reaching out to help those in need in our communities every single year!

The annual Volunteer Day Awards Luncheon is the Pikes Peak Region’s opportunity to thank those who give so selflessly all year long. Awards are given to outstanding volunteers in five categories; Adult (Individual), Adult (Group), Youth, Leadership, and Corporate.  Kids on Bikes was honored to have Paige Carmichael win the Leadership Award for her hard work and dedication in founding and serving on the board for Kids on Bikes!

“Every day, I am constantly amazed by all the volunteer hours Paige has tirelessly dedicated to assuring the success of Kids on Bikes.  I can’t image how much work is involved in starting a nonprofit organization and feel blessed to follow in her footstep and build on the foundation she created.”        –  Lindsey Arkfeld
