Kids Cheyenne Canon Fun Ride!

Event Description
Kids on Bikes is hosting the first Annual Cheyenne Canon Kids Fun Ride on July 11, 2009, in conjunction with the Carmichael Training Systems Cheyenne Canon Time Trial. The Fun Ride will have two starts: the first for younger children or those with little or no riding experience. Parents are allowed to accompany in this group. The second start will include children with more experience and will run two laps around the course. All kids age 13 and under are invited to participate. The event is free, but each participant (with parent/guardian) will need to register at the event. Donations to Kids on Bikes are most appreciated, and there will be a raffle for some family-fun prizes!
Course Description
Registration and start-line will be adjacent to the Starsmore Discovery Center at the entrance to Cheyenne Canon. The course comprises an approximately ¾ mile loop: starting at Starsmore, heading south toward the entrance of Seven Falls, turning left on Mesa Ave, turning left on Evans Ave, and returning to Starsmore. “Junior I” participants (those with less experience) will complete one loop. “Junior II” participants will complete two loops.
Parking
Arrive early! There is limited parking space in the lots near the Starsmore Discover Center. Next option is to park along Cheyenne Road before the intersection with Evans (east of Starsmore). There will also be parking available at Cheyenne Mountain High School.
